Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Warning! Spoilers ahead for Green Lantern: War Journal #8!As Green Lantern takes on the biggest fight of his life, he's just forged a seriously cool set of Iron Man-like armor that needs to be seen to be believed. John Stewart might be trapped on the far side of the universe, but he's not down for the count yet.
Olgrun’s forces prove to be stronger than John is used to, so Green Lantern pushes himself and creates a much larger construct. John creates a giant armor with a huge cannon attached to his arm. As the dark army tells John that Olgruns will is inevitable, the Green Lantern uses his giant weaponry to blast every single member of the army, forcing them to retreat. John saves the day, but the army’s leader swears that though Green Lantern was victorious, they will return to claim the Exile.
While John’s always gotten by with his intricate constructs, he got the upgrade of his life when he absorbed a powerful cosmic phenomenon known as a Godstorm. This made the Green Lantern one with the Source, the most powerful energy in the DC Universe, effectively making John the most powerful Lantern around. John was able to bring the Green Lantern Corps back from the brink of destruction and became the organization’s biggest source of power.
Iron Man and Green Lantern's History Together Aside from John’s knack for making intricately designed and powerful weapons, there’s a reason why Green Lantern leans so heavily into the Iron Man-inspired armor. Namely, because the two fused during the epic DC vs. Marvel crossover. Amalgam’s Hal Stark beautifully weaved Green Lantern and Iron Man’s history, resulting in one of the most identifiable characters from the period.
