Grandfather of toddler who died falling from cruise ship to plead guilty in her death

in December against Royal Caribbean Cruises, alleging that the company was at fault for the accident. A judge approved the suit this month after Royal Caribbean sought to block it.

"Mr. Anello was closely supervising Chloe as she played," the suit says. When"Chloe walked over to a nearby wall of glass on the same deck," her grandfather followed her, it says.

Why do we have guilty and not guilty...if.now pleading guilty...means you don't admit guilt to crime being charged with. Make no sense. Justice system is screwed up.

This is wrong... this family has lost a toddler, Chloe, and to have the grandfather, Sam, go through this? This was an accident. I am sorry for the Wiegand family.

Dude, don’t plead guilty, realDonaldTrump & senatemajldr has made it clear that the guilty are innocent. Now you can blame the ocean for being “very big and very wet”. Heck, you can blame gravity, rapid deceleration, ANYTHING but yourself.

My heart is broken for this family. I’ve never been able to make myself read/watch any of the news coverage. It’s one of the most horrific things I can imagine.

So the parents first sues the cruise line to get paid, which then caused the grandfather to get scrutinized, possibly leading to him getting jail time - and them not getting paid because it’s the grandfather that’s liable. Seriously, how terrible have things gone for this family?

The whole reason he was charged was to protect Royal Caribbean in the civil lawsuit. What a terrible example of justice for sale. I feel so bad for this family.

Very sad news... he’ll have to live with this horrible tragedy by re-living each moment of what happened every single day.

Maybe don’t file a lawsuit against a cruise line that had cameras covering every inch of that boat.
