Graded on diversity and more, this Pa. school ranks in the top 5 in U.S.

has released rankings of over 17,000 public high schools from across the country, examining criteria including grades, diversity and college access. And one school in Pennsylvania broke into the top 5 schools in the nation.

“A great high school educates all of its students from different social and economic backgrounds, exposing them to challenging coursework on the path to graduation,” reads U.S. News’ explanation of its scoring metrics. “The highest ranked U.S. public schools in U.S.

To fit the criteria for review, schools needed a 12-grade enrollment of 15 students or greater during the 2021-2022 school year. The schools were then analyzed in six criteria, with those scores being converted into a 0 to 100 score. From there Radnor High School in Radnor was at 320, Great Valley High School in Malvern was 398, Pittsburgh CAPA 6-12 was 413, Upper Saint Clair High School in Pittsburgh was 426, and Harriton High School in Rosemont landed at 482.
