Grace is SOS Shelter Pet of the Week

Meet Grace, our Pet of the Week at SOS Animal Shelter. Grace is considered one of our urgent pets, and we are hoping to find her a forever home soon.

Grace is a gorgeous, 8-year-old, longhaired Torti. Her family had to move and, unfortunately, Grace couldn’t go. She was surrendered to us in hope of finding her a new home. It was obvious that Grace was well loved, and she was happy. Grace has a stunning long coat and was very social upon intake. Our most difficult intakes at SOS are adult cats or dogs who have to transition from a home life to shelter life. It takes an emotional toll on them, because everything they once knew is gone. The smells of home and the humans who loved them are gone; they are left alone in a place with different smells and all the faces they see are strangers. They can no longer relax, and they become on guard, not sure what is going to happen.
