The need that people have for a few repairs that are going to allow them to stay in their home — and what we're beginning to see is our government, working together, state and county officials, to actually meet that need and allow people to be able to stay in their homes,' Shapiro said.Dauphin County alone received 128 applications for the first round of Whole-Home Repairs Program funding in 2023 and was forced to close its application period after only four hours due to volume.
