New Yorkers gathered for a rally in Columbus Circle on Saturday to mark one year since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, placing the decision of banning, restricting or protecting abortion in the hands of states. csloantv reports.

The president's executive order strengthens access to birth control pills through the Affordable Care Act, Medicare and Medicaid services. It serves to ensure access to pills for veterans and service members through other federal programs. "We never thought that there would be a day where Roe v. Wade would be reversed," said Leah Maignan, of Plainfield,"In this day and age there are other things we should be concerned about, not ripping away the rights of women.

"The cause of life is the calling of our time and we must not rest and must not relent until we restore the sanctity of life," said Pence. "People who have dedicated themselves to the care of perfect strangers have told me that they fear being prosecuted and going to jail," Vice President Kamala Harris said.Saturday, a group calling itself Rise and Resist marked one year since the Roe v. Wade ruling at a protest in Columbus Circle, chanting"Abortion is health care" and"Not the state, people will decide their fate.
