GoT's Lena Headey Is Being Sued Over A Cut Thor: Love & Thunder Scene

Game of Thrones star Lena Headey is being sued by her agent after her cameo in Thor: Love and Thunder was cut. Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is busy adding plenty of big names to Marvel Studios' roster of actors. Thor: Love and Thunder includes quite a few of the biggest ones, with Russell Crowe having a small role as Zeus and Christian Bale joining the MCU as Gorr the God Butcher.

Marvel Studios always attempts to find big names to join the MCU at every turn, as Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke in Moon Knight, Hailee Steinfeld in Hawkeye, Angelina Jolie in Eternals, and more indicate. One of the properties Marvel has looked towards to find new actors interested in joining the franchise is Game of Thrones.

This is the first report linking Lena Headey to Thor: Love and Thunder. It is unclear what role she was going to play in the movie or why it was cut. However, more news about the film points to Lena Headey's cameo not being the only one that Taika Waititi cut during editing. Christian Bale revealed that he filmed scenes with Peter Dinklage and Jeff Goldblum, but Eitri and Grandmaster's cameos were both cut from Thor: Love and Thunder too.

Although Lena Heady's Thor: Love and Thunder cameo was cut, there is always the chance that Marvel Studios reintroduces her later on. This could be dependent on what character she played in the movie and if she was tied to any future MCU plans. Now that the cut cameo has become public knowledge, it will be fascinating to see if more information on Lena Headey's Thor: Love and Thunder role comes to light. Marvel could always release the cameo in a deleted scene later on, too.
