Netflix's high-profile plan to have GOT creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss adapt Chinese writer Liu Cixin's bestselling sci-fi trilogy 'The Three-Body Problem' is getting a challenge from a group of GOP Senators

'Game of Thrones' creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are set to adapt the hit books for Netflix. The Senators' accuse the streamer of"normalizing" China's extra-judicial detention of over one million Muslims in Xinjiang, referencing past comments from books' author Liu Cixin supporting the program.creators David Benioff and D.B.

China's brutal treatment of its Muslim minority groups in Xinjiang — which has included credible reports of forced labor, systematic"reeducation," and forced sterilizations to reduce population sizes — has become a flashpoint in Hollywood. The Walt Disney Co. Judd Apatow was among those who recently called out Hollywood's silence on such issues, addressing the situation in a television interview and later

Would the GOP be quelled if James Woods were cast? What is the GOP doing about freeing Tibet? Ivanka Trump has a factory in China, do they accuse her of kow-towing to communist rule? Hollywood does need accountability & it should go both ways. Free Tibet. Democracy for Hong Kong.

As if Liu is allowed to say anything different than what he did without fear of reprisal.

Hollywood most definitely needs to take a good hard look at its tacit support of Chinese policies that subvert human rights. But let’s be clear, this group of GOP senators don’t care about the Uighurs. If they did they’d be asking the Trump administration to call Xi about it.

If they really wanted to address the problems with China they should be looking at Disney first, the rest of Hollywood second, and the people who don’t quite as directly profit off cozy relationships with the Chinese government third. But they don’t, this is about appearances.

Pedoflix works for the CCP to destroy America

While gop members produce reports based on information given to them my russian operatives 🙄

Republicans should ask the head of their party to stop normalizing China by doing business with it

This is so stupid

Why doesn’t Hollywood care about the one million Muslims enslaved in China? The NBA doesn’t either. Same goes for Nike. Hmmmm...

Would Netflix have made movies in Nazi Germany? Of course not! So don’t support genocide in 2020. Silence is Violence.

As if they even use words like 'normalising' in good faith!

Why aren’t the senators more worried about the agriculture exports to China? That was $13.8 billion last year. Shouldn’t that stop? MarthaMcSally MarshaBlackburn ThomTillis SenRickScott

Would anyone in Hollywood produce movies in Nazi Germany? Of course not. Don’t support genocide.

Hollywood stars: I don't know. I can't see. I have no knowledge of the re-education camps in Xinjiang.

The GOP Senators are being completely consistent here. While the Dems continue to complain about a slavery regime that ended in parts of the United States close to 160 years ago, the GOP is talking out against slavery happening right now. I applaud them for it!

God knows he love the Uighurs, but how about these GOP senators stand up for the injustices happening to Americans in the USA. Americans getting shot and killed in the streets, but the GOP would they rather tell HBO a private company what media to not create.

Hollywood just looooooves racist communist China don't they? Hypocrites
