A Republican lawmaker blocked a resolutionfrom being passed by unanimous consent in the Senate on Thursday — the third time a GOP senator has done so since the House passed the legislation by a 405-to-11 vote.
The senator, Kevin Cramer of North Dakota, was acting at the direction of the White House, said the resolution's Republican co-author, Ted Cruz. "Those objections have been raised on behalf of the administration. The administration has asked senators to raise objections," the Texas senator said, calling that position"a mistake."
The resolution"acknowledges the horrific atrocity that was the Armenian genocide, the systematic slaughter of 1.5 million Armenians that for far too long has been covered up, has been hidden, and U.S. policy has not acknowledged," Cruz said.Sign Up
So in other words republicans wanted to be dictated by an orange dictator.. no back bone at all. None of them. Hope they are all voted out.
Are you afraid of the truth? Are you afraid if the government acknowledges what they did, the whole world will know? Guess what..... The world knows. Now it is time for the US to rightfully acknowledge what they did to Native Americans.
Well we wouldn't want to bring up bad history in the foreign country that our president has the most financial investment in. Even if they are actively killing our strongest allies in the region. Even if the genocide is over a century old.
Another Putin/Trump minion doing their bidding. Putin * 😈 | Trump =obey🤪 | Minion =Pay💰
Republicans don't care for you and me and this country. They are power hungry lunatics and cowards to trump.
All it takes is one senator to override the senate. Who says this is appropriate representation?
Smells like a Turkey lobbyist
Who is this ass? Trump did another boner. When is this govt going to get its act together? Nothing gets done that has value for the people. How is blocking the Armenian genocide resolution good for the people? The world must think the US supports genocide. So awful.

All roads lead to Russia.
It seems unreasonable to keep blocking this based on the Administration's request. It is clearly self-serving. It is always time to do the right thing.
Freaking sleazebags...
