A source told CNN that the move will effectively allow Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee and select subcommittee to unilaterally issue subpoenas

The plan, articulated to GOP members of the select subcommittee by its top Republican Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio during their first meeting Friday, will expedite the subpoena process as both panels move forward with probes of the Biden administration, two of the sources said. It reflects the “urgency” of Republican plans to investigate the Biden administration on several fronts, the sources added.

A third source told CNN that the move will effectively allow Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee and select subcommittee to unilaterally issue subpoenas. In doing so, Republicans are taking a page from Democrats and former Oversight Committee chairman, Democratic Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland, who previously waived rules that required members of the opposite party be consulted before subpoenas were issued.

Same as democrat lead house.

RepublicanHouseClownShow They proved that subpoenas mean nothing. RepublicansAreDestroyingAmerica

Zero credibility.

What a waste of time

And Did the democrats care about Republican input the last two years Let me answer that for you, nope!

Sort of like the Democrats did for past two years.

If gop taught me anything, it’s that subpoenas are just suggestions

Nobody will come. Just like they did to the Jan 6th committee. Who will the subpoena.

So much for fairness and transparency

Follow GOP precedent and refuse those subpoenas at will.

Because they have the power to do so. Do better

Republicans don't honor subpoenas so they can stick them.

I think the GOP has already nullified the impact of congressional subpoenas. Those can also just be ignored

Aww you sad little cucks don’t like having the tables turned? 🤣

Ignore them just like Republicans did.

What’s good for the goose…

Good. If democrats were ok with it republicans should do it too.

FireLouisDejoy

So what..they mean nothing anymore. Mark Meadows proved there are no consequences ignoring them. Move along.

Cummings and Democrats set precedent on subpoenas. Their action has consequences. Republicans have no reason to look for any more justification. Where was the lib media's outrage when the Democrats used this tactic? It obviously benefited Democrats so the lib media was all in.

Hey, ChrisLichtCNN, check out this deceptive tweet.

Show up and take the fifth, whether you need to or not.

Subpoenas...LOL

Pull a Gym Jordan tell them to get lost!

The GOP doesn’t know what a subpoena means so why should they be allowed to issue one.

Which every single person who gets one can ignore..right TheJusticeDept

I hope the Biden people treat them like Republicans treated the Jan 6th cmte. subpeona

Yeah!

Welcome to the GQP's 'Tail Gunner Joe McCarthy' Revenge Tour for the benefit of the Mar-a-Lago Mobster and his crime family. Hoping that Democrats and their attorneys have been planning for this.

'...Republicans are taking a page from Democrats and former Oversight Committee chairman, Democratic Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland, who previously waived rules that required members of the opposite party be consulted before subpoenas were issued.' CNN loves to deceive you.

Just ignore them like they did.

Lone Democrat Jared Golden Joins House GOP in Passing Massive Big Oil HandoutClimate groups said the legislation 'advances a public land giveaway that could lock in at least a century of oil drilling.' Mind you, we may still be drilling, but we won't be selling gas fueled cars at all in 7 years, and there won't be spare parts in 10... Never pass the Senate. Just more useless performative art by GOP losers wasting taxpayer time and money.

House GOP passes bill to curb Biden's use of oil reserveHouse Republicans passed a bill that aims to curb Biden’s ability to use the nation’s oil reserves. The bill was largely a messaging effort to rebuke the White House for using massive oil releases last year to tamp down runaway gasoline prices. He then refilled the reserves at record low prices, and this saved the tax payer some $$. Let us not forget that part. Because Republicans are owned by the oil industry. Sad. Drilling is only okay if it turns their donors a profit.
