Google’s Android 12 update has been the rockiest in years

OnePlus’ stable release wasn’t so stable, either: its Android 12 skin was so buggy that, like Google, after it was widely criticized.

It’s also possible that the attempt to bring timely Android updates to non-Google devices wound up backfiring. Android phone owners have been asking for faster updates for a long time — outside of Google’s Pixel phones and pricey flagships, many devices face long waits for OS updates. Sure enough, the updates have come faster this year.

at the same time it incorporated Android 12’s changes. That’s a recipe for bugs, Rahman explains. “Devices that are upgrading from Android 11 with OxygenOS 11 to OxygenOS 12 are having a lot of settings and features being migrated.”

Agreed! It messed up Omegle video too!

For samsung its been fine, other than a few battery issues which got quickly fixed in an update

I have no problems with my Pixel 4A , all working great.

It looks like crap So it will be crap The pull down notification has to be the worst thing ever. Won't be updating to Android 12 ever So looks like Apple is the only other option

Oddly the beta updates had less problems than the official updates.

I think any kind of UI or UX redesign should be done gradually over time, less bugs and people will get less pissed off. Don't break people's personal space.

Not nearly as bad as iOS 7 or 13 for example. Android 12 is a big update. Overreacting.

They had one last shot with Pixel 6 and they screwed it up.

A complete design change is always gonna be messy...

Such a shame it seems this way for a lot of people. I've been lucky with my Pixel 6 so far
