Google, on April 17, terminated as many as 28 employees who had recently protested against the tech giant’s labor conditions and Project Nimbus.
The memo read “following investigation, today we terminated the employment of twenty-eight employees found to be involved. We will continue to investigate and take action as needed.”The termination order came just a day after the arrest of nine Google employees, who had undertaken sit-in protests at the Silicon Valley biggie’s offices in New York and Sunnyvale, California.
While terming the firing “retaliatory,” the organization added, “In the three years that we have been organizing against Project Nimbus, we have yet to hear from a single executive about our concerns.”
