Google dice que espera que alrededor del 20% de su personal siga trabajando a distancia después de la pandemia de COVID-19, y que muchos otros mezclen sus rutinas.

Google espera que alrededor del 20% de su fuerza laboral siga trabajando de forma remota cuando sus oficinas reabran, este otoño, mientras que alrededor del 60% tendrá rutinas híbridas, con aproximadamente tres días en la oficina y dos “donde sea que funcionen mejor”.La política anunciada el miércoles relaja la postura anterior de la compañía, más estricta.

Hasta 20 días al año también podrán trabajar desde cualquier lugar que no sea su oficina principal. Eso es superior a una asignación anterior, de 10 días. La compañía, con sede en Mountain View, California, continuará ofreciendo, además, jornadas adicionales de “reinicio” a sus trabajadores, básicamente días libres para ayudar a hacer frente a la situación sanitaria actual.

Google estuvo entre las primeras grandes empresas de tecnología el año pasado en decirle a sus empleados que trabajaran desde casa, al inicio de la pandemia de COVID-19. Otros gigantes tecnológicos, como Facebook y Twitter, han anunciado que las personas podrán trabajar desde su hogar de forma permanente después de esta coyuntura si sus tareas lo permiten.
