Over the past six months, the program has gone through a major expansion that’s seen it double its physical space to serve more adults with special needs.

The program does an amazing job of giving participants the daytime care they need to experience active, fulfilling lives. It also allows caregivers to maintain jobs outside of the home to support their families.

Let people be the person that God created them to be and let them be themselves. And that’s happening here,” President Frank Harkins said.80 percent of families who participate say they would not be able to work without the program serving as the care provider for their family members.

“To have a place to get in the morning, get dressed, have your belongings ready, and have your lunch ready, and come be with your peers. I can’t describe how wonderful that is, and what a blessing it’s been to me, my husband, and to Kelly,” Kathy Killion said. Since it began over a decade ago, a growing number of families see the program as a benefit.
