There will be no Golden Globes in 2022 on NBC, as the besieged HFPA continues to falter in reforming itself to the satisfaction of Hollywood studios and stakeholders.
“We continue to believe that the HFPA is committed to meaningful reform,” said the Comcast-owned network this morning. “However, change of this magnitude takes time and work, and we feel strongly that the HFPA needs time to do it right. As such, NBC will not air the 2022 Golden Globes. Assuming the organization executes on its plan, we are hopeful we will be in a position to air the show in January 2023.
For the past several years I have been involved in the Golden Globes and I fully support and applaud NBC’s decision. 👏👏👏
Canceling Golden globe is not a solution. Don't be surprised is the next victim of that Cancelled Culture.
😂 yeah. That's why. It has nothing to do with the consistent drop in ratings. Normal people don't want to listen to millionaires cry about their 'struggles'
Wish they would cancel all the other awards show
Another useless show where art has given way to political backstabbing🤔
Hahahaha woke-ing themselves out of existence. Please never come back
The Oscars & The Grammys right now!
Good, now cancel all the other shows and invest that money in something useful, if celebs want to stroke their egos they can do it in their projects red carpets.
Glad this gonna put an end to trailers with 'Golden Globe' Winner or nominee
aking_32 what does this mean?
Sad that toxic inclusivity has led to this. Every demographic statistic points to Hollywood being on par with the rest of the country when it comes to representation. HFPA doesn’t have a problem, wokeness and cancel culture do.
