Although not much is known about The Frog’s story, the series sounds incredibly promising. Netflix has found a lot of success in original Korean dramas and is behind some of the most popular web series of the last few years, including smash hits like Squid Game, Sweet Home, and All of Us Are Dead. Netflix’s history with original Korean web productions is relatively new, yet the streamer has already worked with some of the most talented creators and actors from South Korea.
A year later, Go Min-si and Song Kang would reunite for Sweet Home, a major Netflix production based on a webtoon. Full of action and special effects, Sweet Home was a relatively risky project, but it paid off. The show did impressive numbers on Netflix and became the first South Korean series to enter the platform’s Top 10 in the United States.
