Florida is in the crosshairs of Hurricane Ian, which is expected to grow into a Category 4 storm by the time it reaches the Sunshine State on Wednesday.

Despite the potentially dire nature of the situation, many Floridians have used the plywood boards as a canvas for their spirit and sense of humor amid the raging storm. The words"IAN...You're only getting Decaf" are spray painted onto the boarded up windows of a restaurant in Manatee County, Florida.

A Christmas themed store is boarded up with messages for Hurricane Ian on September 27, 2022 in Clearwater, Florida.

By the time it gets to Jacksonville Fl it will be downgraded to 60 MPH. During Hurricane Irma everything in Jacksonville was shutdown because by the time it hit us it was a Category 1 Hurrican with winds up to 90 to 100 MPH winds and heavy rain. New residents to the Jacksonville area or new to the state of FL thinks that 60 MPH is life threatening. It could be but in reality it's not life throwing. Hurricane party! 🌀
