The goal of the voluntary database, known as Logan’s List, is to alert first responders when there are people in a home with special needs who may have difficulty communicating with police, fire or EMS personnel.“We are very excited to offer this program to our citizens to enhance the overall well-being of those with special needs,” said Cara Richardson, director of Glynn-Brunswick 911.
Logan’s List was signed into law in May 2021 by Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and was inspired by a Georgia teenager with autism and other special needs, according to a Glynn County spokesperson. The database will help first responders identify the best way to communicate with a person who might be non-verbal or if there are things that may upset a person such as noises and lights.Marcela joined News4JAX in 2023.
