COLUMBUS, Ohio — The shirts Glenville’s boys track team wore atop the podium at the 2022 OHSAA Division II state track and field meet featured the words “unfinished business.”
They finished that business on Saturday, winning the Division II championship for their 17th state track title, their first since 2014, and their first in Division II. Glenville won the state championship by earning 45 points, 10 points ahead of second-place Keystone. They secured the championship after Milique Herron finished third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.55 seconds.
“We’ve been working for everything. We worked so hard for this. Losing last year to Woodridge, that hurt us,” Larkins said. “We made history. has been telling all week, all year, ‘You can make history.’ It feels good to accomplish this.”In addition to the 4x400 team, Glenville got multiple other high finishes throughout the day.Their 4x100 took third along with Herron in the 200 and Jermaine Foster in the high jump .“We came to try to win them all.
