R&B singer giveon achieves a pair of Billboard chart milestones to expand upon his breakout year.

“Giveon is an incredible artist and a standout vocalist, and the success of ‘Heartbreak Anniversary’ is not only a very proud moment for Epic Records, but also a watershed moment for R&B music and artists globally,” Sylvia Rhone, chairwoman and CEO of Epic Records, tells Billboard. “While we continue to build ‘Heartbreak Anniversary’ across radio in the U.S., Giveon has also reached No. 1 in the Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia.

Now “Anniversary,” already a proven streaming success, turns its attention to radio as Giveon’s new official single for the medium. The song is now actively promoted to “top 40, R&B/hip-hop and rhythmic simultaneously,” Rhone says, with interest already brewing. In the week following the official push’s start on March 16, it was the third-most-added track on the former format and fourth-most picked up on the latter’s monitored stations, according to MRC Data.

While “Anniversary” climbs, another Giveon hit is fast approaching thanks to his supporting spot on Justin Bieber’s “Peaches,” which also features Daniel Caesar. The tune, from Bieber’salbum, has been serviced as the album’s new single and has already racked up high U.S. numbers on streaming services ahead of its chart debut next week.
