The Gift of Life Foundation is expanding its Nurse-Family Partnership program to ensure new moms in Autauga and Lee Counties get the care and support they need for a healthy pregnancy and new baby. The Nurse-Family Partnership is going on its 15th year in Montgomery, Macon, Russell, Chilton, Pike, and Elmore Counties. It connects new mothers to a registered nurse who visits them from pregnancy until their baby is two years old.
The nurse can help her create a safe home environment, get referrals for healthcare, childcare, and job training, and the tools a mom needs to ensure a healthy start for their babies and create opportunities for success for themselves
