An anti-abortion bill in Georgia passed another hurdle Monday and is headed to the State Senate for a vote. While supporters championed it as a victory for the unborn, one senator viewed the bill as being another contestant in the race to have Roe v. Wade overturned.
“This whole thing is a national stunt to try to put pressure on the Supreme Court to take these cases to overturn Roe and it’s really disappointing because we’ve got much bigger issues that we need to be dealing with in this state,” Jordan said. “I’m a lawyer, so I think of proof problems. So can I say I was pregnant and has a miscarriage? If I’m willing to sign an affidavit is that enough?” Jordan wondered. “It just doesn’t make any sense and it shows a real lack of thought put into a very, very big piece of legislation.” “When you have a gentleman up there saying, ‘Well, this is just common knowledge or this is just common sense,’ I’m like, ‘Well, common for whom? Common for a bunch of men?’ because what you’re saying is not the common experience for women,” Jordan said. “…It’s like they got into a room and just decided basically what the rules should be in terms of having children and it’s offensive on a lot of levels.
Putting babies to death is immoral.
Anti Abortion is definitely a church thing, a policy with love not abuse. You should see their faces walking in the abortion clinic, apologetic and unapologetic looking for help again. Maybe marriage is the best thing. Not fake love,
Wish the partisan would stop with the fu bills. I feel that’s the biggest desire these days - to stick it to the other side. Both sides guilty.
Lets call it what it is.... it is a race to see which state can declare that women are sub-human, merely incubators, and the should be required to incubate unwanted fetuses, threaten their health, merely because of the religious beliefs of people in power.
May God make it so!!
