Bottoms said that Atlanta has had"good news" because the state was aggressive in its measures and is urging Atlanta residents to stay at home, tweeting:"I will continue to use my voice as mayor of Atlanta to ask people to continue to stay home, follow the science and exercise common sense."
Mayor of Augusta Hardie Davis, Jr. told CNN:"If we move as swiftly as the governor's proposing right now, we could find ourselves mashing the gas on the economy when in fact we need to be putting the brake on where we are right now." Atlanta implemented a 14-day stay-at-home order on March 24, and Kemp issued a statewide stay-at-home order on April 2, which went into effect on April 3 and was initially intended to last through April 13, but was extended through April 30.
CDC recommends wearing a cloth face covering in public where social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. Wash hands after coughing or sneezing; when caring for the sick; before, during and after food preparation; before eating; after using the toilet; when hands are visibly dirty; and after handling animals or waste.Avoid touching your hands, nose and mouth. Do not spit in public.

Somehow it all shifted from stay at home to flatten the curve, to stay at home. The curve is flatten in most states. For those who can work from home, wait until it trickles to you, then it’s about how the government failed.
This will not end well.
Aside from what the officials say the people should know better then to start being casual about this. Scientist are working hard to find a way to combat this virus. Just give them time.

Governor Kemp diving in head first to the “herd immunity” theory. What will most likely happen though is that he’ll “thin the herd” significantly. Sad. Good luck with that Georgia.
