"Just as we affirm our commitment to academic freedom, we affirm the right of all members of our community to voice their opinions and contribute to the critical discussion that are foundational to our academic mission," the university added."Justice Thomas' views do not represent the views of either the George Washington University or its Law School," the university emphasized in the letter.
"Additionally, like all faculty members at our university, Justice Thomas has academic freedom and freedom of expression and inquiry."

I wish his students could ask him if his fatwa on religious abominations (marriage equality for example) will include a ban on interracial marriage
Perhaps a good way to end his gig there is for students not to attend his classes and exercise their rights to an opinion either outside his classroom, or demonstrate inside during his lecture
While GW nobly espouses 'academic freedom' & 'the robust exchange of ideas & deliberation', what Thomas did was more than 'opinion and discourse'. He took real freedoms away from women that will harm them profoundly. It's an unfair equivalence; I'd xfer before GW got another dime

I agree with the university. You can’t go firing teaches for their opinions, even opinions as evil as his. I wish they would entice him to teach full time and leave us alone
