Apparently George Clooney has been cutting his own hair with a Flowbee for years now

George Clooney’s head: How does he achieve his close, even crop, unchanged for approximately the past decade? How has he managed to keep it so uniform for so long, is he just in there trimming morning and night? What is his secret?

A vacuum attachment, as it turns out. That’s according to Clooney himself, who admitted on a CBS Sunday Morning segment that he has been quietly cutting his own hair with a Flowbee for 25 years. Yes, Clooney just loves a “refreshing vacuum haircut,” to quote the brand itself. He is a Flowbro, as they allegedly say. Which makes a certain sort of sense for him, I think.

A Flowbee, for reference, is a set of clippers that come with a vacuum hookup, so you can suck up the trimmings as you work. It came into the world in the late 1980s, has amassed a following of enthusiastic Amazon reviewers, and has apparently experienced a resurgence in popularity during the coronavirus pandemic.

Clooney says he picked up one of these babies “years ago,” and still uses it to this day. His current style? Pure Flowbee, per usual. “My haircuts take literally two minutes,” he effused, in a ringing, off-the-cuff endorsement that apparently crashed Flowbee’s site for a while. “Listen man, it works!”

Still, the actor was careful to note that his “hair’s really like straw, so it’s easy to cut. You can’t really make too many mistakes.” Which to me means: Take this rec with a grain of salt.
