has spoken up to clarify that he isn’t the idol-turned-actor who recently turned himself in for voice phishing.

Last month, an actor in his thirties who is also reportedly a former idol turned himself at Yeosu Police Station for inadvertently taking part in a voice phishing scam. “A” told the police that he had defrauded victim “B” of 6 million won , which has reportedly since been returned to “B.” According to “A,” he mistakenly believed hat he had taken on a legitimate part-time job that paid well, without realizing that it was a voice phishing scam—and when he realized that a crime was taking place, he immediately went to the police.

On July 12, one news outlet reported that “A” was a former member of FTISLAND, and Song Seung Hyun quickly took to Instagram to clarify that he was not the actor in question. Posting a screenshot of the article that mentioned FTISLAND, Song Seung Hyun wrote, “It’s not me…! Don’t worry.” He went on to reassure fans by adding in the caption, “I’m currently filming a project and am doing well…”
