There are no rolling blackouts — people have been without power since 2am. Human lives are at stake. The Harris County Judge (4M population) just did a presser educating residents on how to recognize hypothermia. They redeployed 8,500 vaccines because generators failed.
The initial plan failed and the grids in many places went down completely. Its been 16hrs at/below 20°, and TXMN says it'll be Tuesday approx 5pm before we have power in my area. You can see your breath in my house.
