According to unofficial results, Place 2 trustee Natalie Hebert, who joined the board in June 2019, lost her seat to challenger Marvin Lowe, who is backed by a right-wing PAC. The margins were razor thin: Lowe won by just 53 votes in an election where residents cast more than 15,000 ballots. Hebert announced she was seeking a recount online: “The election results from Saturday were a little too close for comfort,”“After much contemplation, I agree that a recount is warranted for the integrity of the election and to ensure we have ended with the correct outcome. We are filing the appropriate paperwork and will keep all informed of the results.
