Why the ex-cops charged with killing Tyre Nichols can be charged federally, tooTrying someone twice for the same crime sounds like it could violate double jeopardy. But not when one case is state and another is federal. That's what happened to Derek Chauvin. (via Deadline: White House) Everyday this things about the black community is so tired 🥱🙄 and boring It very obviously DOES violate double-jeopardy but thanks for pretending it doesn’t. If you injure more than one party, each party has a right to Justice. Those parties can be the federal and state(s) governments. Maybe he should have complied with the federal and state laws?
