.FriendlyFires have announced their first new album in eight years, 'Inflorescent,' and shared a propulsive new single. Listen here:

Eight years after their last album, British indie-rockers Friendly Fires announced their third album on Monday afternoon.“Silhouettes” is a bossa-disco boogie, textured with polyrhythmic drums and several layers of melody. Spaced synths flitter over a locked in bass groove, creating a vibrant palette for the propulsive tune. Ed McFarlane’s gauzy vocals glide over the track, sunnily singing of a revitalized former flame.is said to be filled with summery tracks like “Silhouettes.

” Per a press release, the album was inspired “by experiencing the here and now, by hanging out and dancing in clubs together as a trio again,” and is “very much about living in the present; about not being afraid, seizing the moment, casting aside doubts and pursuing the things you love.” The album was co-produced by Mark Ralph, James Ford and Disclosure across several London studios.is due out Aug. 16 via Casablanca Records/Polydor.

Is it merely a matter of time when Helsinki will get it's first hotel rooftoppool? Or do we need developers with a more adventurous outlook? Either way LiikeDesign would be happy to help.
