A man yelling “We have to kill Macron,” referring to French president Emanuele Macron, stabbed a 72-year-old priest more than 20 times in the legs and chest on Sunday morning in a church in Nice.
The priest is expected to survive the attack, which French police say is not terror-related. A nun was also stabbed in the arm during the incursion near a polling station. The perpetrator was taken into custody without incident.
This headline is disingenuous bullshit. You “in the name of” and “in direct opposition to” are not synonyms.
What a strange headline for this story, what does it mean '....in Name of Macron'?
'in the name of Macron' 🙄
IslamIsADisease IslamIsTerrorism
“In name of Macron” means he did it for Macron. But the article has the attacker saying, “We have to kill Macron,” which is the opposite of doing it in his name.
I bet the nun sees it differently.
