, who plays Guy, a bank teller, who one day discovers he is actually an NPC in a video game. Upon learning this, and with the help of Jodie Comer’s character, Molotov Girl, he decides to break free and save the world.
In the film, there’s a melancholy version of the song which is sung by Jodie Comer, how did that come about? I met many candidates with far longer resumes and far more movie credits, but there was something audacious, energized and inspiring about Ethan’s vision for this movie. This has been the most satisfying thing so far in the lead-up to release, and that is hearing from so many gamer inclined reviewers and websites who are calling it “One of, if not the best video game movie that they’ve ever seen.”
Of course it was the right choice! It’s a Mariah Carey song!!!!!
MariahCarey STAYS winning.🙌🏽💥💕🙏🏽
LegendaryTingz only liking this for MariahCarey
Very happy that this song is getting the love again after more than 16 years. Still sounds so fresh and fun today. Only Mariah. This was an 8 week 1 song in the US and the first song by a female to debut at 1. Loving that it is going to reach a new generation.
Not sure if its a cover or remix of the original, but I want the version playing during this scene. Shot is from the trailer.
TheMariahReport 100% it was the RIGHT song! Mariah's fantasy is a Classic Bop and fits the film perfectly!
MariahTrends Definitely the right people at the right time. Such a pleasure to witness a modern classic … well done over all 👍🏻 Thanks Variety
Whoever reads this, I hope you had a great day and remember that your life matters. You are also loved and are wonderful. Have a great day. Love, BB
