to study cellular stress responses, proteostasis or projects on autophagy within the new ERC Consolidator Grant autoxitus. The position is to be filled as soon as possible and originally limited to 2 years with the option of extension.

We aim to understand how cells respond to stress, using biochemical, cell biology and/or omics approaches. Some of our main research questions are on the mitochondrial unfolded protein response , mitophagy and mitochondrial import and folding , cytosolic stress responses , and stress in the context of different diseases . We aim to understand how cell responses work on a molecular and global level and what are its roles in aging and disease.

We are looking for outstanding and ambitious scientists with interdisciplinary experience and a PhD degree in life sciences. Candidates should have an extensive background in one of the following disciplines: cell biology, biochemistry, proteomics, genetics, and/or advanced microscopy.a job full of variety in an in interdisciplinary and international team that is driven to do cutting-edge research.
