French cathedrals are state owned since 1905. Arnault is one of the biggest tax evadors of France, living f.e. in Belgium. If he would pay decent taxes as everybody we wouldn't need their f*cking 'philanthropy '. Actually Japan vs Ghosn shows how to handle this kind of people .

Seeing some reactions, re why don’t these people donate to charities- they may well do that too. The important thing is to remember, it’s their money - they can do as they wish with it ...and Notre Dame is certainly worthy .

700 million is basically a pious deception. There are 3641 homeless who sleep on the streets of Paris. I’m not sure you can fulfill religious obligations by rebuilding a house of worship when what is needed is housing. NotreDameCathedral
