The Elysee Palace’s response to a report on France's colonial rule in Algeria - which President Emmanuel Macron himself commissioned - was swift. There will be no apology for colonisation and the millions that died at the hands of France during the 132 year occupation.

The cynics among us will of course be casting out minds to the fact there are many pied noir and their descendants in France who largely vote for le Pen.

Of course not, because France is still ruling Algeria through its puppets. When Algeria gets its REAL independence, then people like Macron, will have no choice, but to apologize to, and compensate the Algerian people.

More than anything else what I see in Mr Macron's anti Muslim policies is an urge for a Clash of Civilizations which is not due to any proven ideological superiority but perhaps due to being a good salesman of arms sellers who love creating conflicts
