Jose Griñan, a Houston TV veteran, has returned to his Fox 26 morning anchor role after being on medical leave since last fall.
"It's really exciting to be back after being off for such a long time, but when the doctors say you have to rest, you have to rest and you have to obey the doctor's orders," Griñan said on air Monday.Fans have been writing well wishes on his Facebook page since November. A native of Tampa, Griñan's father was a native Cuban and his mother was a first-generation Cuban American. After working as TV journalist in El Paso, Miami and Dallas, he joined Fox 26 in 1993.
As a dapper dresser, Griñan is known for showcasing his stylish socks on social media and on July 2022, he celebrated his 70th birthday.
