Porter originally had a commitment date set for July 14, but didn't need to wait that long after all. He canceled his Michigan visit scheduled for this weekend after a productive official visit to Ohio State last weekend, where Brian Hartline showcased the New Jersey product how much of a priority he is to the Buckeyes. In addition to the Wolverines, OSU also beat out Big Ten rival Penn State for his commitment.
With Porter in the fold, OSU now has 15 commitments in 2025 and two wide receivers commits, as Porter joins, a fellow New Jersey resident. He won't be the last wide receiver commitment in this class, though, as OSU still hopes to take either one or two more wide receivers. Other targets includePer 247Sports' composite rankings, Porter is considered the No. 49 prospect and the No. 8 wideout in the 2025 class. He's also the No. 1 ranked player in New Jersey.
