Former South Alabama safety Keith Gallmon will play a seventh season of college football on the FCS level at Austin Peay, he announced Thursday.
The 5-foot-9, 202-pound Gallmon missed all of 2022 when he tore a pectoral muscle during a preseason scrimmage. He took a traditional redshirt year and returned to win a starting job going into the 2023 season. Gallmon finished his South Alabama career with 205 tackles, three interceptions, 17 pass breakups, three fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles in 48 games played. He was a preseason first-team All-Sun Belt pick prior to his injury in 2022.
