Former President George W. Bush will hold a fundraising event for Wyoming GOP Rep. Liz Cheney, according to a source familiar with the event

The primary race between Cheney and her Trump-endorsed Republican challenger Harriet Hageman is shaping up as one of the most notable proxy contests in the greater fight over the future of the Republican Party.

Other notable Republicans who have donated to Cheney since her impeachment vote include Bush's brother Jeb, former House speakers John Boehner and Paul Ryan, and George Bush's former senior political adviser Karl Rove.In recent months, George Bush has stepped up his criticism of Trump, though he has not attacked the 45th president by name.

OMGReallyInUT George is weirder than ever but at least he’s trying to get on the correct side of history.

I never would have thought George W. would be considered a RINO, but here we are.

Nice for her, but she needs to be called on the fact that she voted not to raise the debt ceiling. If you are going to be a courageous Republican you need to do what’s right for the country all the time. Dems voted with GOP when debt ceiling needed raised. Not a political tool!

The Republican base doesn’t like either. They are neocons.

'They misunderestimated me'. Not my idea of a fund raiser.
