Mohamed Noor, the ex-Minneapolis officer who fatally shot a woman while responding to her 911 call in 2017, is resentenced on a lesser charge after his earlier murder conviction was thrown out by the Minnesota Supreme Court

Mohamed Noor was originally sentenced to 12.5 years in prison for shooting and killing Justine Ruszczyk in July 2017. Last month, the Minnesota Supreme Court vacated Noor's third-degree murder conviction, ruling there was insufficient evidence to sustain the conviction and ordering Noor be sentenced on his conviction for second-degree manslaughter, a lesser charge.

Read More"These factors of endangering the public make your crime of manslaughter appropriate for a high-end" of the sentencing guidelines, she said. Noor's lawyer argued at trial that a"perfect storm" of events led to the officer opening fire on Ruszczyk, who had called 911 the night of July 15, 2017, to report a possible assault in progress in an alley behind her home.

So a powerful institution stepped forwards to wipe their ass with a jury's verdict?

I call “ Bullshit “ that cop was barely a Us citizen. Take Minneapolis off the bucket list .

There is no such thing as justice.

Just wrong

When y’all planning that riot, I mean “protest”?

Now free kim potter and derek chauvin too

It’s odd they convicted him of murder instead of manslaughter to start with… since he didn’t set out that day with premeditation to harm her.

Where’s the blue lives matter and go fund Me’s for this officer ?

This is shameful and a total loss of justice. He killed an unarmed, desperate woman trying to get help. These trigger-happy police need to be held to account.

I was hacked and lost $32k worth of coin.I got depressed until I was introduced me to this guy on instagram hackdome who helped me got back my funds. They help resolve hacked wallet and stolen funds and token stuck usdt or crypto coins no phase needed you can contact him.

I'm far from being an expert in anything, but I'm beginning to wonder if they are truely prepared for dangerous moments. I think human emotions take over & the instinct to defend yourself takes over, & things happen... All these tragic shootings. 😔😥

Free Bro.

Meanwhile white officers walking around Still killing black people are free smh. I believe it was an accident

Good

Just another miscarriage of justice. Cops get to kill anyone they want.

I betcha he knows he’s black now. Or maybe not.

It’s interesting that you don’t mention the color of the police officer or the the victim. It obviously does not help to push your agenda otherwise you always mention it if the color of their skin are in the correct order. CNN is nothing but race baiters

In Minnesota , defendants with good behavior typically serve two- thirds of their sentence in prison , and the rest on supervised release .

The Supreme Court last month tossed out Noor's murder conviction and ordered him to be resentenced for manslaughter .

Ironically, I truly believe he killed her on accident and HE should not have gone to jail at all. While others are free after intentional murder!

The sentence announced by Judge Kathryn Quaintnance was the maximum allowed under state's sentencing guidelines .

Wonder what the difference is between this cop, and all the others who killed people

But did she comply?

Minneapolis cop gets nearly 5 years in killing of 911 callerA Minneapolis police officer who fatally shot an unarmed woman after she called 911 to report a possible rape happening behind her home was sentenced Thursday to nearly five years in prison — the maximum allowed for manslaughter after his murder conviction was overturned. Mohamed Noor was initially convicted of third-degree murder and manslaughter in the 2017 fatal shooting of Justine Ruszczyk Damond, a 40-year-old dual U.S.-Australian citizen and yoga teacher who was engaged to be married. Judge Kathryn Quaintance, who also presided at Noor's trial, granted prosecutors' request to impose the maximum sentence called for by state sentencing guidelines on Noor's manslaughter conviction, 57 months. Less than 5yrs for taking a life. I hope he gets the Full Montey during his stay. Minnesota sucks

Former police chief: It's 'baffling' officers are ignoring vaccine mandatesNBC News correspondent Meagan Fitzgerald and retired Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best joined Stephanie Ruhle to discuss news that thousands of law enforcement officers are ignoring Covid-19 vaccine mandates. Best says it 'truly saddens' her and could result in people leaving the profession for good. Really? Baffling that someone stands up for their freedom of choice? Freedom to do with their bodies what they want? Isn't that the same argument you libs make for women and their right to abortion? Your hypocrisy and 'logic' are stunning! 'Take a vaccine' 'y?' 'It greatly reduces the odds you'll get sick, pass a virus to others & die' 'i HATE that!'
