Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg revealed that she traveled with retired Justice John Paul Stevens 'in the last week of his life' to Lisbon, Portugal, for a conference where the two justices attended meetings and visited museums, vineyards and castles

Washington Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg revealed Tuesday that she traveled with retired Justice John Paul Stevens"in the last week of his life" to Lisbon, Portugal, for a conference where the two justices attended meetings, visited museums, vineyards and castles.

"Perhaps he knew at age 99, distant travel was a risk," Ginsburg said during Stevens' funeral at Arlington National Cemetery,"but he wanted to experience fully the joys of being alive, and he did just that almost to the end." Ginsburg, 86, said that as the"next eldest in attendance" she had the opportunity to ride with him on long drives and his mind"remained vibrant" and he spoke not only of court cases but footnotes in various opinions.

When is her wake over?

Every legal PUBLIC SERVANT IS OBLIGATED AND THAT INCLUDES GINSBURG TO KNOW WHEN THEY CAN NO LONGER SERVICE AT 100% AND SHOULD STEP DOWN EVEN WHEN THEY HAVE POLITICAL BIAS TOWARDS ANOTHER PARTY. THEY ARE NOT GOD PERIOD. STEP DOWN MS GINSBURG FOR THE GOOD OF EVERYONE.

Shows how political she has become, has nothing to do with justice, just avoiding a Republican nomination.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg une très grande Dame ce qu’elle est aussi courageuse c’est aussi la doyenne des juge de la cours suprême

This gives me all them sweet old people feels.

Yes, Justice Ginsburg. We all hope you stay longer! 💗🇺🇸⚖️

My daughter is named after this courageous, strong, intelligent woman!

Kavanaugh will be on the court until 2100. Terrific

Tick tock time marches on

She is a leach upon the Supreme Court, biased and has become little more than a liberal operative posing as an objective judiciary, when really all she is doing is playing the part of a place holder. She should be removed for that reason.

I just dont believe he was that Unpatriotic!!

God help us.

Not to be an arse but I thought she died.

Well that just sounds like crazy talk.

So grateful for Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She is one of the most powerful leaders, ever! NotoriousRBG

He cannot refute that now.

She. Is. Amazing! RBG

Holy shit she’s still alive?

let's hope not. she's evil

And then he said he wanted me to have all of his artwork.

John Paul Stevens believed no one is above the Law!Especially the President!

Can’t wait for President Trump to get his 3rd pick 🇺🇸

Where is she?.

if I was a supreme court judge I would worry about getting friendly with RBG. Scalia, now Stevens. ( this is a joke btw)

Another story to try and prove she's still alive ...

Justices Observe Supreme Court Ritual By Driving Stake Through John Paul Stevens’ Heart To Ensure He Dead Before BurialWASHINGTON—Solemnly gathered around the former associate justice’s casket, the nine current justices observed a traditional Supreme Court ritual Tuesday by driving a stake through John Paul Stevens’ heart to ensure he was really dead before his burial. “This is a longtime Supreme Court rite that began after one of the original justices, the Honorable William Cushing, was accidentally buried alive in 1802, and the justices who narrowly avoided that close call vowed it would never happen again,” said Associate Justice Stephen Breyer before taking the ceremonial gavel from Chief Justice John Roberts and using it to hammer the stake farther into the corpse of Stevens laid out in the Capitol rotunda. “Unfortunately, after Justice Cushing was discovered when he knocked on the lid of his coffin just before it was lowered into the ground, some nasty rumors spread that the Supreme Court justices could come back from the dead, or were potentially immortal beings. The Marshall court obviously couldn’t let this popular superstition gain any more credence among the American public, so beginning with William Paterson in 1806, every single Supreme Court justice has had a stake driven through their heart to assure the justices and the citizenry that they have truly passed away. Of course, it’s been largely a formality, except for the unfortunate incident in 1930 when the Court accidentally killed William Howard Taft.” At press time, Roberts had determined that Stevens’ heart wasn’t beating and began to light the ceremonial pyre the Supreme Court ritually constructs to ensure the release of every justice’s soul from their body and grant it safe passage to the afterlife. He Dead? He Dead. he ded There can be only nine.
