Former Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Olli Maatta in October took a loss on his two-bedroom, 1,647-square-foot condominium on the 45th floor of the 340 on the Park building in the Loop’s Near East Side neighborhood, selling it for $900,000.

And yet, during his relatively brief stay in Chicago, Maatta bought a condo here.
