Former Astros general manager James Click lands job with Blue Jays

Houston Astros general manager James Click is seen before Game 6 of the World Series at Minute Maid Park on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, in Houston.WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Toronto Blue Jays hired former Astros general manager James Click as a vice president of baseball strategy on Monday, nearly four months after Click’s abrupt departure from Houston.

In announcing his new role, the Blue Jays said Click will work with general manager Ross Atkins on “strategic planning, decision making, and evaluation” across both the amateur and professional levels.
