Following a preview earlier this year, Ford has revealed powertrain details and the livery for the F-150 Lightning SuperTruck. It will compete at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on June 23.
It’s focused on aerodynamics and Ford said the truck has a triple-element front wing, hood ducts, headlight ducts, front dive-planes, and side diffusers. They’re joined by a massive wing, streamlined bodywork, and a gigantic rear diffuser. These components enable the truck to generate 6,000 lbs of downforce at 150 mph . Other highlights include carbon ceramic brakes and forged magnesium wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero tires.
