Adam remembered handcuffs squeezing his wrists, and he wondered if neighbors would see.At 6:30 p.m., Adam texted his doctor, who he’d been scheduled to meet with the next morning.
Around the same time, Adam sent another message to his doctor. “Well I guess it’s pretty obvious I won’t be making it to your office at 11 a.m. tomorrow.”
