by KATIE BENTE | WPECPalm Beach County mom Paola Zarate Lassalle, 28, is facing criminal charges for allegedly sending threatening messages on TikTok to one of her daughter’s classmates. Most parents would do just about anything to protect their children. But how far is too far?
According to the police report, the two girls are in the sixth grade together at Okeeheelee Community Middle School in Greenacres. The victim’s mom reported the girls had been having issues, but that the school had recently resolved them. “Going online to do it, it really doesn't surprise me because it's just easier for people to be more vicious online,” a Palm Beach County mother said. “You know, I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have gone up to the girl's house, knocked on her door, you know, and started verbally assaulting her in person. It's just so much easier to do it online, on social media.”
