Florida Father and Terminally Ill Daughter Killed in Murder-Suicide Identified

South Florida Sun SentinelIt has emerged that the child, who loved martial arts and dance, had recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer in her femur; she was to have her leg amputated in three weeks — on her parents 27-year wedding anniversary.

Neighbors and friends described the couple as happy and loving, who adored their only child; but Kenbian struggled to handle his daughter's diagnosis.A father killed his 11-year-old daughter before turning the gun on himself, Florida police have claimed. The incident happened in West Davie around 9 AM on Monday morning, as the child's mother was making breakfast.

The unnamed woman heard two shots, ran into the next room and found both her husband and little girl with gunshot wounds.

TooFab I'm guessing osteosarcoma, which doesn't have to be terminal in the first stages and many survive after surgery, chemo, radiation etc. But it spreads, especially to the lungs and it's called terminal when it's so advanced that cannot be controlled or cured. It's a terrible death

TooFab Sounds like the Dad had a mental issue with his daughter dying. If he wanted to die then just shoot himself. The little girl had a right to live as long as she could. After the amputation she could have lived a full life. Dad was a selfish SOB. I feel for the poor Mom.
