at an awards ceremony honoring members of the Broward County Sheriff's Office for falsely arresting him four years ago.
Gallardo just nods his head, gives a thumbs-up sign and walks away after the commissioner finishes talking. Mayor Michelle Gomez then takes the microphone and thanks the sheriff's office. Gomez and the Broward County Police Benevolent Association have publicly criticized Gelin for confronting the deputy at the ceremony.
The liars and cowards in the press reveled at the public humiliation of a law enforcement officer. None of those reporting this event bothered to find out the truth allowing the commissioner to skate and I think we all know why.
brooklynmarie And of course the mayor and police union bent over backwards to apologize to the officer and condemn the commissioner. I'm sure they did the same 4 years ago for the bull shit arrest too 🙄
The charges being dropped does not mean it was a bad arrest. Probably means it was not worth the trouble to prosecute him. I would be more concerned this person is a city commissioner .
He should have put it to rest 4 yrs ago. The charges were dropped so somebody recognized the error. He also could have brought action in the courts at that time. So clearly now an abuse of power. The same thing he's trying to point out. Lets see what else is in his record. .
Good for him. Clearly the people who support the POS corrupt cop are just as corrupt as him if they clearly support his actions by implying he's a good cop. Keeping it real FLorida, keeping it real. Absolute trash.
Broward County is the most corrupt county on the planet.... Liberal run county..... shocker
Officer needs to be fired. CityofTamarac
He had to wait for four years (he has a voice now) before he could speak out . Imagine hundred and thousand out there not being able to help themselves. Really sad
I can't even imagine if my bosses boss accosted me during my award ceremony in front of my peers. Clearly he did something wrong and he's bitter about getting caught. Why does it always have to be about race. He's an asshole
I was falsely arrested? Says every criminal ever.
brooklynmarie Great examples of blaming the victim
Thank you comnisoner for speaking out against dick headed police officers making false arrests. Thank you because i know im not alone. I really hate lying ass cops who make total bullshit up and we have them here in tn, unfortunately! I wouldn't know how to speak up against one
Awkward.
The officer’s report are public record...no reason the INNOCENT victim of a false arrest cannot make his report of the incident public.
Good! Put all bad police on blast so the world can see them for who they really are. Probally wasn't the 1st time he did shady work.
Breaking news.. white man bad.
Why have to hide it? How would the city have done this behind closed doors?let the public know the truth!
Excellent !
