The Flight Attendant season 2 star Deniz Akdeniz teases that Annie and Max are in grave danger after the events of the newest episode. The Flight Attendant is a mystery thriller series that premiered on HBO Max in November 2020, the first big project that actress Kaley Cuoco starred in after her blockbuster sitcom The Big Bang Theory went off the air. Cuoco plays Cassie Bowden, the titular flight attendant whose substance abuse issues lead to her waking up one morning next to a dead body.
Two characters who have returned from the first season are Annie and Max, played by Akdeniz and Girls' Zosia Mamet.
They’re more embroiled in the murder, mystery and espionage than before. They’re right in the thick of it. They’re even getting themselves into danger, so it was fun to be a part of the madness. One thing that does not bode well for Annie and Max's next few days is that Akdeniz has been promoted to series regular for season 2. Mamet has been a series regular since season 1, but now both characters are guaranteed to play a bigger part in the overall goings-on of the season. From the way things are looking, they may actually be involved in the most important throughline in solving the new mystery at the center of this season.
The Flight Attendant season 2 is also likely striving to find more for Mamet to do outside of merely playing Cassie's support system. Like many TV series, they are seeking to deepen the side characters and spend more time on their growth as the show goes on. This is a very good thing for fans who love the characters, but it's bad for the characters themselves, considering that this means they will be even more mixed up in the sinister events surrounding Cassie.

NPR Cookie Consent and ChoicesI cannot get myself to watch this. I tried the first episode and I couldn't finish it. Congratulations, ChrisBohjalian! Loved the first season, but not loving the second. S2 seems discombobulated, ridiculously implausible, and Cassie's hallucinations or whatever are so annoying. I do love the cast and the acting is fab so will keep on watching hoping it will gel and get better.
