ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Flagler Health+ had exactly zero COVID-19 patients admitted to its St. Augustine hospital on Wednesday, something that it hasn’t seen since the pandemic began. According to Flagler Health+, it has been over two years since they became the first health care system in Northeast Florida to treat a COVID-19 patient and since then, they have cared for nearly 2,000 patients.Interim President and CEO Carlton DeVooght said, “our caregivers — clinical and non-clinical, at the bedside and behind the scenes — have worked tirelessly over the past 736 days to care for patients during some of their darkest days.
